Building Dreams & Brands: My Journey as the proud Mompreneur & Founder of Merakology
September is a very special month for me. Not only do I celebrate my own birthday, but it’s also the birth month of Merakology Creative Studio!
When I began this journey in September 2017, my son had just started Grade R. He is my whole world! I built this business around him because I wanted to be present for every milestone, every sports game, every moment that truly mattered. I wanted to show him that being a mom doesn’t mean giving up on your dreams, it means redefining them.
Merakology was born out of that love, a way to merge my creativity with the flexibility of motherhood. Over the years it has grown into so much more than a business. It’s a passion, a community & a bridge between my son & I, supported by every single one of you who has believed in me.
The last two years have tested me, but they’ve also revealed my resilience. Late nights, tight deadlines & endless “mom duties” couldn’t break me. I’ve taken calls from the side of the rugby field, sent emails between extra murals & kept creating in the studio on the hardest days. Through it all, I’ve stood strong, proud, hardworking & determined. Every order, every repeat client & kind word fueled my fire, reminding me that nothing can break a mother’s determination to succeed!
